Hello All,

I am looking for information about John Smith (Schmidt, Schmitt, Schmid ) born abt.1800, died 1858 in Pitman. He married Magdalena Schneider. They had the following children;
Daniel Smith born 1 Jan.1826-1907.married Lovina Bolich
Elizabeth born 13 mar.1834-1921. Married jacob Schrope
John
George S.
henryS.
Polly married Samuel G. Herb
Helen. Died as a child.

George S. Smith migrated to Lipsig, Ohio
Henry migrated to Fort Wayne , Indiana
Polly lived in Lebanon, Pa.

Mainly, I am looking for data on the father John Smith,who his parents may have been. I suspect his father may have been Melchior Smith.
