Found inside a book purchased at an estate sale in Pennsylvania,
"Special Orders Number 142, HQ 1st Air Division, APO 557, 22 May
1945" names: SHAPIRO, CONNOLLY, BAIRD, POOL, SAWYER, COBB,
GRIFFIN, LORENTZ, REICH, LEFFEW, LEWIS, WILLIAMS, DART, CHOATE,
SCHULMAN, LANGBEIN, VERMILYA, MARCUS,ROBINSON, JUDGE, DIEDRICHS,
TAYLOR, MAGAFAN, HASSELL, HARDCASTLE, HANCE, TURNER, and BEAMAN.
I don't know any of these people, but would like to share the
information. If you might be related to anyone on this list who
served in the 1st Air Division, please contact me so I can
provide a copy of these orders.
