Jim,
This may be a stretch but perhaps she was referring to the Welsh
of the Neath community of Middletown township and Pike township (Bradford
County). A number of Welsh lived in Jackson Valley.
I live in Neath about 3 or 4 miles south of where your great grandmother
lived. My grandmother was born in the house where I live in July 1883. I
think my aunts took piano lessons from Mrs. Conboy years later.
ASll of my ancestors in Neath were Welsh.
