Helping a friend here...

Looking for info on a Squires family that resided in Springville. John Henry Squires m. Sarah E Strickland and it may be they had sons Bruce and Porter.

There was also a Squires family in Nicholson that John Henry may descend from. 1850 census shows me wife was Desire, PA (other data states NY), but I can't make out the Husband's name. he's indexed as "Gersh" but in looking at the image I don't get that name. Could even be something like "Geo W"

In 1850 in this household was also children:
Stephen 15
Porter 13
Lydia 10
Andrew 8
Robert 6
James 1
Stephen 85 NJ born


Can anyone identify these folks?
