Bruce this is Anthony Cowart Pate, 1st Lieutenant, Company E, 5th
Battalion, Georgia Infantry. He was born 11 Apr 1836 died 13 Feb 1916.
He was a son of Redding Pate and Elizabeth Miller of the Pulaski Co., GA
Pate line.
He was later a County Judge. He was a brother to two other Confederate
Officers, Major John Haynes Pate and Surgeon Redding Hamilton Pate.
Anthony Cowart Pate was married, but did not have a male heir.
