The parents of Martin D. Patterson died when he was young and he could not
remember their name. His sister Anzy raised him so I've been told. Anzy
married
Lawrence P. Kettles in 1857 in Hillsborough County, Florida. She married 2nd
Doctor Robinson Dunn ca. 1875 in Alachua County or Marion County, Florida.

Is Mahalia the mother ? There was a James Patterson who applied for a
homestead
under the Florida Armed Occupation Act near the area where Mahalia Patterson
lived in 1850. Courthouse burned so there are no records.

Martin D. Patterson married Catherine E. Perkins Stone, widow of John Stone in
1866 Hillsborough County, Florida.
