I am fairly new to the list. I am looking for information relating to my
gggrandfather, James O. Patterson. He was born in Ireland about 1800. He came to
the US in about 1827 and settled in Lowell Mass. He married Elizabeth Holmes on
Oct 10, 1830 and they had eight children in Lowell:
1--William Orr Patterson, B Jul 9, 1831, D Aug 17, 1848
2--James Holmes Patterson, B Jul 2, 1833, D Mar 23, 1886
3--Samuel Storey Patterson, B Jul 1, 1835, D Jul 8, 1838
4--Elizabeth Holmes Patterson, B May 13, 1837
5--Samuel Storey Patterson, B Nov 5, 1839
6--Jane Anne Patterson, B Oct 31, 1841, D Oct 19, 1920
7--Frederick Gustavus Patterson, B Jan 13, 1845, D Sep 8, 1848
8--Arthur Augustus Wellesley Patterson, B Aug 9, 1847, D Mar 11, 1917

I believe that I have a complete genealogy of all the descendants of Arthur. I
would be most interested in James O's ancestors and the descendants of any of the
other children.
