He is on the Madison Co., Fl. 1850 census record.
He list his children as the following:
Andrew E.(could be ELKINS) He is my gg grandfather, married Sarah SWIFT.
Joshua H.,
Smith P.,
Eugenia,
Lafayette H.,
He was married in 1830 in Decatur Co., Ga.
He was in Madison Co., Fl. as early as 1840.
David PATTERSON was also in Madison Co., Fl. at the same time and I believe
he was probably John's brother.
His wife was Sarah WHITE.
His children are as follows:
Martha,
David B.,
James F.,
Margaret,
Sarah,
Archibald,
John W.,
Henry H.,
Baldwin R.,
Thomas
