Hi there and thanks all of you. Perhaps if we put our heads together and
concentrate real hard, we can all help one another here.
I have re-examined my data again to be more accurate. See if this
enlightenes anyone. It did me!
William Patterson b.? place possibily SC
spouce unknown
had a dau. called Sarah b. 1785 in SC d. 12/18/1882 place SC
Sarah Patterson married William Herrin about 1805 place ?
Clue: Her spouce William HERRIN was also from SC.
They were married in Spartanburg Co. SC.
They sired 9 children. Although info is scarce with earlier children, it is
noticable that not until the 7th child do I have into that says Madison P.
Herrin B. 2/2/1822 in NC. married 4/16/1905 in HABERSHAM COUNTY, GA. one
Alefare Morris(Morris genealogy available)
Madison P Herrin also died in Habersham Co. Ga.
The eighth child a female named Milly Herrin only has b. 1/23/1824
The ninth and last child was NANCY M HERRIN b. May 1828 in NC But she also
died in Habersham Co. As she married Albert Bright Morris of that county.
So it appears that my Patterson line came from SC! Don't know tho where
Will Patterson's wife was from, she could have been from anywhere.
My conclusion is that All of William and Sarah's children were born in SC.
Several of them b. in NC. At least two of their children married into
Habersham Co. Ga. Morris Line! Thus they suddenly appeared in Habersham Co.
GA. So there were three locations involved. SC>NC>Ga.
I shall re-check my Herrin material and see if there is info I have missed
about the re-location of all those other children.
Not much help to some of you, I know. But it did give me the chance to
review some of this material. And will surely keep my eyes open for the
rest of you!!
Thanks for listening,
Judy Rountree Mason
