Mike,
It's my understanding that George and Rebecca Chastain Patterson had a son named
James Patterson born in Rabun Co., GA in 1827. Some researchers have confused
him with another James Patterson who married Easter Nicholson in Union Co., GA
in the 1830s, but they are not the same James Patterson. Nonetheless, I don't
know anything at all about this James Patterson, son of George Patterson. He was
born before 1830, he was older than his brother Kimsey Patterson who was born in
1829. But I don't know where either of these brothers ended up. Their next
brother was my g-g-gf, William Harden Patterson was born in April of 1832 in
Union Co., GA. William Harden Patterson stayed in GA while other siblings of his
moved west to Arkansas, such as Elijah M. Patterson. About a year ago a
descendant of Elijah M. Patterson contacted me (Joseph Morgan Ives, copied on
this email). Elijah's children and grandchildren later moved from Arkansas to
Washington state, and then about 1901 moved into Canada and became Canadian
citizens.

I am very interested in finding out more about your James Patterson. Thanks.

Wes Patterson
