Another letter from mariner Mariner Health. This time I converted it to
DOS
Text and put it into this e-mail directly. Previously I used
WrodPerfect
because that is what I thought you had. Let me know if this is ok.

MARINER
Post-Acute Network
January 18, 2000
Dear Residents and Family Members,
Today, this facility s parent company, Mariner Post-Acute Network
announced
that it filed for protection
under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. This move will enable the
Company to strengthen its
capital structure and will allow us to continue operating without
interruption and focus on high-quality
resident care.
I want to take this opportunity to tell you about this development
directly,
and to make two important
points with regard to this announcement:
First, this financial reorganization gives the company the financial
stability to remain focused on providing
high-quality resident care. High-quality care is the foundation of
Mariner s
business and will always be our
top priority.
Second, it is important that you know that the financial reorganization
will
not interrupt resident care at
Mariner facilities. Direct care staff will not be impacted by the
financial
reorganization. Our direct care
staffs are our most important links to our residents and we will do
everything we can to strengthen those
relationships. Mariner facilities will continue to admit residents and
will
strive to provide those residents
with high-quality care. Mariner will not close any facilities as a
result of
the reorganization. There will be
no change or interruption in the salaries or benefits of Mariner
employees
as a result of the reorganization.
The professional women and men who work in this facility every day take
great pride in their work caring
for our residents and will do their best to continue to provide our
residents with the same high quality and
service. I want to emphasize to you that this reorganization will not
impact
the day to day operations of
our facility. Also, there will be no staff reductions or pay cuts or
benefit
changes to our staff.
I urge you to contact the facility administrator if you have any
questions
about the facility or this
announcement.
Sincerely,
Butch Cash
Chairman, President and CEO
