E. M. Sharp, PICKENS FAMILIES OF THE SOUTH states the following:

"John Joseph Pickens CARLILE md. Eliza Jane PATTERSON, said to be daughter
of George and Eleanor PATTERSON... "
RESIDENCE: moved to Pontotoc Co., MS, settling near New Albany MS.

I think George and Eleanor are too old to be parents of Eliza if the birth
dates of her children are correct.
Also, this does not agree with CARLILE family history compiled by Kay
Starrett Borden, whose sources include family bible records, as well as
various court and military records from South Carolina.

Can anyone help out with the families George and Eleanor (PICKENS?) PATTERSON?
