Lydia Patterson, daughter of Joseph Patterson and Lydia Merean of Newton, MA,
married Col. David Pixley of Stockbridge, MA.

Col. Pixley was one of the five Commissioners ca 1786-1787 for the purchase
of a large tract of land in New York. He settled in Owego, Tioga Co., NY.

Col. Pixley was an officer of the Revolution in the siege of Quebec, under
Gen. Montgomery. He was the first settler in Tioga in 1790.
