I am trying to track down the name of the husband of an
ancestor who signed a document in 1838. THe first name
is unreadible and the last name could be Zur, Zeer, Zier.
I was wondering if anyone had a hardcopy of the 1840 census
which lists people alphabetically. Really a long shot but there
might be something close. Have tried searching the 1840
with a variety of spellings to no avail..
