Carol,

I don't know if any connection, but due the the surname Hart and the
year of birth you might look towards Irish Immigrants from the Cobh Cove
(Queensland) , County Cork, Ireland area who emigrated from Ireland to
Canada during the potato famine in the late 1840's.

A gggrandparent of mine, Abigail HART, along with an Aunt migrated from
there 1848 for Montreal, Canada to serve indenture for 1 yr but skipped
indenture and married Lawrence Stack of Co. Cork who she met on ship.
They married in Rochester, N.Y. in July 1949.

In checking Rochester, NY. census substitute (directory) for 1890 I
noted it was loaded with Hart's. After reaching U.S. the Hart's
undoubtedly went many directions where work could be found. A long shot
I know, but perhaps some Hart background for you.
