Something I never knew, and I'm from McDonald, and now live in the CV
district. From the McDonald Record-Outlook, Nov. 5, 1959

School building named for former local man.
One of the new school buildings in the Chartiers Valley Joint School
district will bear the name of a former McDonald man, who is a veteran
teacher and administrator in the Scott Twp. school district.
The new Bower Hill School, scheduled for completion in early 1960,
will be named the Henry E. Roberts Elementary school in honor of Henry E.
Roberts of Vanadium Rd. near Bridgeville.
Born and reared in McDonald, Mr. Roberts was graduated from McDonald
HS, and Penn State University, and received his Master's degree in Education
from the University of Pittsburgh. He is in his 37th year as a teacher and
administrator in Scott Twp., and is presently supervising principal in the
Chartiers Valley Joint School District.
He is married to the former Marie DeVos of Cecil, and they have a
daughter, Mrs. Joseph Ptak of Bridgeille, Mrs. Gregor Tournay and Mrs.
August Tournay of McDonald are sisters of Mr. Roberts.
