RUSSELL, VANZIOL, KLINK, WORSTELL
William Montgomery RUSSELL, 87, of Hickory R. D., died at 2:00 a.m.,
Wednesday, June 22, 1960, in the Washington hospital.
Mr. RUSSELL, a son of the late William H. and Rebecca Jane GORDON RUSSELL,
was a well-known dairy and sheep farmer and was born December 25, 1872, in
Candor. He had resided on his farm in Mt. Pleasant Township since 1918.
Mr. RUSSELL was a member of Mt. Prospect Presbyterian Church, where he had
served as a trustee for ten years. He was also a member of Richard Vaux
Lodge. No. 454, F. & A. M. He received his education at Cross Creek
Academy, and was a former member of the Cross Creek band.
Surviving are his wife, Nellie Jane JOHNSTON RUSSELL, a patient in the
Washington hospital; and a son, Ralph, of Hickory R. D. There are three
grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A daughter, Alice, died in 1948.
Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon in Burgettstown in charge
of the Rev. Richard A. MORLEDGE, pastor of the Mt. Prospect Presbyterian
Church. Burial was in Fairview cemetery, Burgettstown.
Stanley VANZIOL, 81, died suddenly, Wednesday, June 22, 1960, in his home
in North McDonald street, McDonald.
Born May 8, 1879, in Poland, Mr. VANZIOL had resided in Detroit, Mich.,
after coming to the United States, but had been a resident of McDonald for
28 years. He was employed by the Pittsburgh Coal Co. until his retirement
in 1948. He was a member of St. Alphonsus R. C. Church, McDonald.
Surviving are his wife, Theresa KUJANIK VANZIOL; and two daughters, Mrs.
Mildred EGLAR of Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Helen FISHER of Cleveland, Ohio.
There are two grandchildren.
Requiem high mass, by the Rev. Fr. James Cullen was held Saturday morning
in St. Alphonsus R. C. Church, McDonald. Burial was in Resurrection
cemetery.
John Herman KLINK, 78 of Champion Hill died Friday, June 17, 1960, in the
Presbyterian hospital. He had been in ill health in recent months.
A son of the late Chris and Amelia KLINK, he was born March 4, 1882, in
Sharon. He was a retired employee of Pittsburgh Consolidation Coal Co.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pearl KLINK; two daughters, Miss Elizabeth
KLINK of Crafton, and Mrs. Hilda SNATCHKO of Noblestown; two sons, William
KLINK of Palo Alto, Calif., and Robert KLINK of Billings, Mont. There are
eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held June 20 in the Thomas funeral home, Oakdale, in
charge of the Rev. H. Parker SMITH, pastor of the Noblestown U. P. Church.
Burial was in Robinson's Run cemetery.
Mrs. Susie WORSTELL, 87, wife of the late John L. WORSTELL, died Monday,
June 20, 1960, in Ford City. Mr. and Mrs. WORSTELL were married May 14,
1901, in the Hebron Presbyterian Church parsonage. Their home was in Candor
until they moved to Beaver and later to Rochester.
Surviving are three sons, Clair S. WORSTELL of Beaver, Melvin L. WORSTELL
of Cheswick, and Dr. Gaillard WORSTELL of Zelienople, with whom Mrs.
WORSTELL made her home after her husband's death; and two brothers Harper
and Lee PLUNKETT of Rochester. There are five grandchildren and seven
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held June 22 in Beaver. Burial was in Raccoon Church
cemetery, Candor.
