For Alan B. in Arizona:

John B. HAYDEN (7/25/1813-9/1/1862)was a shoemaker, born in New Jersey. On 3/6/1834, in Wilkesbarre PA, he married Elizabeth DAILY (4/8/1810-3/4/1894). Their children were: Charles (b1834); Laura Louise (b1836 & married John Morgan Paul;
Ann Eliza (b1837 & married George Smith); Oscar (1839-1843);
Mary Virginia (b1841); Henrietta M. & Harriet (b1843.
Henrietta married a Mr. McPeak. No mention of Harriet is found
in Elizabeth's applications for her Widow's Pension & I have always assumed she died in childhood.); George (b1845); Sarah Emmeline (1846-1913 &
married Adolphus Bennett); John D.(b1849); Ida Edna (1852-1899
& married William G. Harsha).
I'm not sure that we are looking for the same John B. &
Elizabeth. I will send you a scan of the family bible record.

My great-grandmother, Harriet HAYDEN, was born in Washington Co. in 1844.
