In answer to Ruth, about the address thing. I noticed, as I did the
census, that is has the post office name. A huge amount of mail in
Greene county for a while, listed Monongahela as the post office. It is
like Washington, Pa anymore. The main post office for there is
Pittsburgh, now days. I lived in Lancaster County and the little town I
lived in had a post office, but the main post office for it was
Lancaster, Pa, but the town ten miles north east, that also had a post
office, main office was listed as Harrisburg. Another example, my
grandparents lived in aka "England, PA", known now as "Pleasant Grove"
now, but the address was always an "RD, Claysville", as that is where
all the mail for the area went into.
