At one time southwestern Pennsylvania, to the Ohio River; present day W.
Virginia, and eastern Ohio were part of Augusta County, Virginia. So
research these areas in the earlier times must be done in Virginia. There is
one three volume set of books of abstracts of the Augusta County Records by
Chalkly, or similar. That is from memory. I believe that some years ago
someone started to place these books on a web site. A Google search should
turn them up, IF, they are there. Just search for Augusta County, Va.
