Hi Everyone,

I apologize to those of you who are on more than one of these lists, but
all three areas are involved.

In the 1850 census, George LONG, his wife Elizabeth, daughter Martha J.,
and son David, are living in Richhill Twp.,Greene Co.Pa

By 1860 they have moved to the Sandhill District of Marshall Co.WV
(Martha J. is no longer listed and was now married to James THOMPSON, of
the same area).

In 1870 a Jennie GRAY, age 11 is living in the LONG household with
George, Elizabeth, and David M.

In 1880 George has died. Elizabeth is living with daughter Martha's
family, and David M. has disappeared - or at least I haven't been able
to find him.

George and Elizabeth LONG are buried at the Salem Methodist Church
Cemetery at Majorsville. I believe David M. LONG may be the David Martin
LONG that was married to my G.Grandmother Almira/Elmira KING who was
born and raised in West Finley Twp.,PA near Dallas WV. According to
Almira's obituary, she had outlived her husband by 38 years. This would
mean David died abt. 1894. They had three children; Hiram Edward who was
killed in 1922 (my grandfather), a daughter Laura BACHMANN, and another
son Charles LONG. Does anyone know of this family? The location of David
LONG's grave? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Faye
