If you go to this url: www.glorecords.blm.gov
you can search your surnames and print out copies of the documents given to your ancestors when they purchased land or were given homesteads. I have found many family members here, is very interesting.
I found that one family member inherited land that his ancestor had been given for military service. Sometimes you can get some interesting info on these documents. On two of the documents for Sprowls it even stated they were from Washington Co. Pa.
