Most times, newspapers cut info, abbreviate, (and mess up info) in
obituaries, even when ALL info is written out for them. (Been there this year.)
Writing your own obituary helps but it is no guarantee it will appear in the
paper that way. The newspaper seems to want everything to be in their set
"format" (which I think should be discarded and write obituaries in a more
personalized way.)
