Due to the overwhelming amount of research, the Register of Wills staff will
handle simple requests. If you are in need of an extensive search, we will
provide you with a list of local genealogists. If you are requesting a copy of a
will, marriage record, birth or death record, we ask that you put your request
in writing with as much information as possible. Mail your request to the
Register of Wills Office, 1 South Main Street, Suite 1002, Washington,
Pennsylvania 15301. There is a $10.00 search fee required, and we ask that you enclose a
stamped, self-addressed return envelope. You may also visit the office to do
research. The office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
BIRTH AND DEATH RECORDS
Birth and death records for Washington County are available in the Register
of Wills Office from 1893 through 1906.

is now the genealogical center for Washington County. It has an excellent
