After 13 years of research I have reached a frustration level in
attempting to find only 2 key names in my ancestry. We have all been at
this point, so I know I am gaining simpathy even as you are reading!!
I have exhausted almost all modes of study.
I confess I have only accessed some census records and they would surely
help. But, I do not have access to entire records, feeling that was
foolish to acquire for just 2 names. So, maybe some kind soul out there
with total census access would help?. If so, please reply. If not,
then I guess I'll break-down and finally get them myself.
I realize my request could be consisdered by some as "out-of-line", but
I have reached a point of desperation - my "brick walls".
It may be that the search-style I need cannot even be done. But, hoping
they can, here is what I need....
A search of all PA censuses 1850, 1860, 1870 for just one name. I
cannot narrow the search any closer, sorry. I have only a year-of-birth
to go on.
A search of the entire USA 1880, 1890, 1900, 1910, 1920 for one name.
Again, I have nothing else on this name, but year-of-birth.
I realize that many names will arise and I am prepared to sort them
until I find the right one. I beleive I can identify the right person
with the consecutive census records establishing childhood residence and
time of moving out.
Interested? I'll send the names and dates - THANKS!!
Floyd
