Hi Midge,

Congratulations on your success!

It sounds like you are using their access to Heritage Quest online for both
the census and searching online books. Most of us have access to this for
free from our library websites (usually clicking on 'databases' or
'information gateway.'

I would be interested in learning more about using Godfrey's library online
for people who will probably never visit their building. I'm aware of their
subscription to Otherdays.com but are there other databases?

All the best,

I have to say once again, thanks for the Godfrey Library site. I am so
excited. The person that caused my quest in the family searches, I found
in the census with Godfrey Library. For three years, all I got from
ancestry was a World War I draft card in Ca in 1910. I now found him in
CO., and know he was a RR worker and that is why he moved around and my
grandma had so many cards from PA and out the west. Also I had spent
weeks in Alleg. County, in 1900 census looking for my Grandpa Schroeder,
to see when he immigrated, with hopes of finding his ships registry in
NY. I found it with in a matter of minutes, on the site census search.
Also I downloaded the Book about the history of the Farabee families,
that is listed for 65 dollars, at a book site and all for nothing but a
little of my time.

Thanks so much for this cheaper back up to ancestry.com

Midge
