I wonder if there are any records ( archives ) of Westinghouse when it
existed in that area in the early 1900's? Any photos or written items?
Jean,
In the past two years I've purchased two books from the George
Westinghouse Museum located in Wilmerding, PA.
http://www.georgewestinghouse.com/introduction.html
"Wilmerding and the Westinghouse Air Brake Company" published by
Arcadia Publishing. This soft covered book has about 100 pages of
images (of mostly original pictures) of the town.
The other is a hard covered book titled "Empires of Light" by Jill
Jonnes published by Random House. This is about the three inventors of
electricity, Thomas Edison, Nikola Tesla, and George Westinghouse.
You may want to do a google.com search for these if you're interested.
You may also want to take a look at the following site to see "Films of
the Westinghouse Works, 1904"
