Cecil Twp. Teachers Chosen
At a meeting of the Cecil township school board held Saturday Miss Amy
SEIDEL was elected principal of the High School at a salary of $90 per
month. Miss SEIDLE was assistant principal last year. No township
superintendent was elected Saturday. The schools will open August 31 for an
eight months term. The salary of the teachers is graded. First year
teachers will receive $40, second year teachers $50, and third year $55.
The organization of the board is: J. R. WHITE, President; U. G. BOAK,
secretary; W. B. MAY, treasurer; W. F. WOODS, P. G. WALKER and John
BUCHANAN. A portion of the teachers were elected at a recent meeting and
following is a full corps: Cooks, Sara PETTIBON; Jumbo, Beatrice WRIGHT,
Venice, advanced, Elsie ROSS; primary, BLANCHE SCOTT; Cecil, No1. Bell KERR;
No. 2 Florence LEFLEY; No. 3, Isabel CONKLIN; No. 4, Eva HILL; Boone, Olive
WEAVER: Hickman, Ora SLOAN; Gladden, Ella WILSON; East Canonsburg, advanced,
Emma E. COFFEE; primary, Pansy SHISBEY; Reed, N. A. TANNEHILL; Bishop,
advanced, Mildred CAREY; primary, Lillian WALLACE; Reissing, Della LESTER;
South Side, McDonald, advanced, Lillian MURCHLAND; primary, Miss THORLEY;
Emerick, Elva BARBER; McConnell, Anna HERRON; music instructor, Clifford
KERR, salary $75 per month.
