Hi All: I went to the National Archives in Seattle today and checked the microfilm against my
transcription and the microfilm was sooo much easier to read than the CD. So I did make lots of
corrections. Have it all indexed now and ready to go. Now who do I send it to for the Wayne Co.
webpage?
Thanks Paula and Ann for the comments on Rulap Gear. I am descended from the Geer family in
Connecticut and I know that is the way it should be spelled, but this census taker wrote Rulap Gear.
I checked it again today. I changed the Henshaw back to Hinshaw too because it was much easier to
see the dots over the "i"s on the microfilm. I must be sure and get this census taker's name
included. He really did a nice job and we all appreciate his work. I haven't been watching all of
the little squiggles that mark the ages of the households, but I am sure he was a careful census
taker.
After all of this work, I have decided that I am looking for a Kimble family for my 2nd great
grandmother. Is anyone on the list working on Kimbles?

Paula, it's true that he was Rufus Geer. But the census does say "Rulap Gear."
