Good to have another interested party in the Moorhead conversation.
Did you see my msg yesterday re my visit to LDS and the IGI readout
about William?
Your info fits with info I got at the Hoehenstein Genealogy Library in
Holidaysburg, Pa
Wm seemed to be well known in the area because of his military
record.
Question: Was he a British Regular or a Penn. Militia?
The Moorheads seemed to be very prolific and the only way I see to
straighten out the generations is to identify each family. A daunting
task.
Any ideas on where to begin?
I'll be glad to type out the IGI results showing the eleven children of
Capt. William and Elizabeth Barnett, including date and place of birth.
Curiously, Samuel, the second child, was listed as being born 20 Mar
1769 in West Hanover Twnship, Lancaster, Pa. All the others were
born in Beaver Twshp, Beaver Co. (including the first child) Indian
upraisings may be an explanation.
