Jan & Dawn,
I don't know if I have a McDowell connection but
my John Norris who settled in Strabane Twp. in the late 1700's was
listed as coming with the McDowell's
& others from Cecil County, MD & I haven't found a
thing to establish that. I still think he came from
eastern PA. It's driven me crazy!!!
The McDowell name is definitely in Washington Co., PA early.
