Subject: [PAWESTMO-L] 1850 obituaries from "Religious Telescope"
Date: Tue, 6 Apr 1999 13:29:39 EDT
Before I return some microfilm of the Religious Telescope, I'm skimming
through for Westmoreland obituaries. Here's what I've found so far:
Hanna WEIBLE maiden name LOSE; b 1793 in Westmoreland; died Stark Co, OH
WEIMER, Rev David; born in Westmoreland, died in Stark Co, OH, wife Catherine
TROXEL, John, Sr, born 9/20/1775, died near Mt Pleasant, Westmoreland, age 74
years
WELSH, Jacob, infant son of Caroline and Isaac WELSH, age 8 months, died near
Mt. Pleasant, Westmoreland
WEIMER, Michael, of Donegal, age 67
SECHRIST, wife of Henry, 65 years (doesn't give any locations, but I know
from reading posts there are Sechrist researchers in Westmoreland)
The following are from Mt. Pleasant, but I don't know if it's Westmoreland,
or Mt. Pleasant at Germantown, Hamilton, Co, OH. There is absolutely no clue
as to the "geography"
SHIPE, Catharine, age 23 years
LIPPENCOTT, Elizabeth C. age 11 years
EMPICH, Jacob age about 50 years
JOHNSTON, Maria Overholt, b Sep 17, 186, near Mt Pleast, died at age of 3
yrs, 11 months
I'll keep a copy for a few weeks, and then send a copy to Elizabeth Twnshp
and Greensburg Historical Societies. In the meantime, if this connects for
anyone, let me know.
I have a few more years to look at, so there will be more postings within the
next few days.
Margaret
