Larry,
There are two types of this creature. One a Hellbender and the other the
Mud Puppy. The Mud Puppy has external Gills and is good to eat. The
hellbender is the one I caught in the upper Allegheny River. Both require
GOOD water and are on the protected list. I NEVER killed a fish because I
didn't like it.
