A February 20, 1998 posting to this list, titled, "Newspaper Accounts of
Births, Marriages & Deaths" -
"M'INTIRE, James of Pleasant Unity & Ann FUNK of Mt. Pleasnt boro m Thurs.
6th inst. by Rev. Sansom (5-25-1832 RF)"
Rev Sansom is mentioned in an article titled, "LITTLE REDSTONE METHODIST
EPISCOPAL CHURCH." that was posted to the Fayette Co mailing list on April
24, 1999.
"...The brick church was built in 1857, and dedicated by Rev. J. G. SANSON,
presiding elder of the Redstone Circuit. At that time the preachers in
charge were Revs. Griffin and MC INTYRE."
The Rev MC INTYRE, mentioned in this article, is my gggrandfather, John
McIntire [b 1829- s/o John b1797, g/s of James].
Below is our first two generations. This family lived in Derry Twp,
Westmoreland Co and Wayne Twp, Armstrong Co..
