Does Nils' wife show up with any of the children in later census records? If
so I would assume that Nils has died. The only other Nils Gibson that I
found that was similar in age was a Nils Gibson, born in Sweden abt. 1829
with a D? or B? Christ Gibson who was 2 years younger in Ramsey County, St.
Paul Ward 2, MN in 1885. Are there any family obituaries that mention Nils?
I checked the Edmonson death Index and no Nils is listed. So I would assume
that he died somewhere else, but where? Since he doesn't show up in the 1900
census he probably died before then. I will check a few more places and see
if he turns up.
