Mr and Mrs. Isaac Rosengrant bought Skinners Eddy ferry and house from Robert
Brungess just previous to 1900, after her death he son Judson came into
possession of the home. An early graduate of Mansfield Norman School he was a
school teacher and later a Methodist minister who servedmany churches in NY
and PA. Dr. and Mrs Rosengrant spent their summers here and the winters in
Florida. After they passed away the family kept the old homestead until it
was sold.
