For the past few days I have been posting extraction's from a 4 month
period of the old Scranton Republican Newspaper 1908. (24 March 1908-11
July 1908) There are mentions of persons of many of the surrounding
counties, Lackawanna, Wayne, Wyoming, Susquehanna and etc. You are
invited to visit the Luzerne List just in case. The reason its being
posted to the is that Tammy is a distant cousin
of mine and a friend who has visited me in FL, I like her GenWeb site
and asked her permission to submit these extraction's which she will
then put up as a file. As you also know Lackawanna was once part of
Luzerne Co and many of the people mentioned were born there. There may
be errors (old newspaper are hard to read and contain mistakes made by
them and no doubt me too, also it took me many hours over a 3 -6 month
period to extract and type up this research). I wanted to share with
others as I know how exciting it is to find that stonewall after many
years. Joe purchased (from me) the last film I extracted and its
located in the NE PA Society in Scranton, Lackawanna Co for others to do
