Attempting to sort out the MC ALOON families which settled in Wyoming, Susquehanna and Lackawanna Counties. These families settled there in the early 1800s and as the Irish would have it have passed on the same given names from one generation to another. It appears the groups settled in Nicholson Towhsnip, Nicholson Township areas and another in the Scranton area. Some of the folks arrived in the 1850. Some of the surnames associated are MC MANUS, SWEENEY, MANG, BARRY, WALTON, HOWARD, DAY, JAMES, CHURCHLER, KADGEN,
