Searching for parents, siblings, and ancestors of Nelson PAYNE.

Born around 1800 in Georgia (according to 1850 census), enlisted in the War of
1812 in Tennessee (current family says that is where he is from) and
eventually ended up settling in Pike County, Mississippi.

Abt 1818 married (1) Mary MORGAN (d. ~1840)

Nelson PAYNE's father "might" have been John or Jonathan PAYNE according to a
very old D.A.R. dinner invitation sent to Nelson's granddaughter Annie (PAYNE)
BROWN. No other documentation, however.

Any help or speculative lead would be a great help.
