To all:-

A New Year -- 2002 -- brings us visions of hope, family, dreams
that have come true -- as a former Maritimer I wish to share
views of many!!!

2003 is a big year in the hearts of many -- celebration of the 250th
anniversary of our ancestors founding of Lunenburg and area. To
advertise the celebration, Bryan Keddy has SONS Radio -- Sail
On Nova Scotia -- read on from a previous post:-

If YOU have not tuned in as yet, here is the site address
Sail on Nova Scotia Radio -
http://www3.ns.sympatico.ca/bryanfkeddy/SONS.html
You will find a page with the 2003 logo, and follow instructions to sign on.
One Christmas song I really liked was "Christmas in Canada", sung by
Wilf Carter in the 1940s. If you like the oldies, in Gaelic and German
(the tapestry of Nova Scotia) you will sooner or later hear it played.
The next paragraph is from Bryan:-

SONS just keeps getting better and better results everyday -
presently at #57 on country chart, #92 on folk chart, # 100 on
oldies chart - and #25 of all stations on similar 3 charts.....have
noticed a decrease in listening over the past couple of days since
the Christmas Show - much expected - yet extremely happy with
over 565 listeners in December, 131 presets, for 371 hours of
listening..... bringing the total listening hours to 980 since inception
in
August....and would be nice to break the 1,000 hour mark in 2001.

St. John's Anglican Church in Lunenburg was part of the 2003 plans,
check my homepage http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~downhome/
Click on Nova Scotian Links, scroll down to
HELP RESTORE ST. JOHN'S ANGLICAN - LUNENBURG
Prints of the church are available.

On the same page are two tributes -- on main page, scroll to bottom
Canada/United Tribute re Sept. 11, 2001 at the left.
At the right is a tribute -- a POPPY -- in memory of Canadians!

At the same page, click on the Canadian flag logo to view Post-1901
census pages -- another hopeful item "on the wish list" for 2003.
Contact YOUR Member of Parliament or Senator -- please send
copies to me for posting by Gordon Watts -- see addresses below.

Personally, I am counting the hours until I get back Down Home in
the New Year -- natives never quite leave -- often return in thought!

Happy New Year 2002 to all!
