A very nice researcher sent these to me.

---------------------------------------
The earliest Marion County, Florida marriage record is shown as Dec
1844. Marion at the time was much larger than today, so some records
could be in other counties such as Hillsborough, Lake, Sumpter and
Orange (called Mosquito at the time).
---
The earliest marriage records for Alachua County, Florida shown in the
book were from 1837-1845.
---
I'm including some marriages just in case they might provide a clue of
some kind:
---
George Pendarvis and Mary Benny Jerkins, 6 Oct 1878
---
Richard Pendarvis and Nancy J. Self, 6 Feb 1886
---
I checked under Ann, Nan(nie) and Agnes (variations for Nancy) but none
married a Pendarvis.
---
Female Pendarvis names were:
Margaret Ann and Alexander Bass, 8 Dec 1880
---
Mary to John Higgins, 7 Aug 1881
---
Nancy A. to William J. Garris, 9 Aug 1885 ---
I have the book listing Florida's Voters in the 1st statewide election
May 26, 1845.

I find a William Pendarvis voted in Nassau county in Kirkland's
Precinct.
The record shows William was exempt from militia service based on age
(45 or over).
---
George Pendarvis votied at the Jacksonville Courthouse in Duval county.
