Master Genealogist affords you unlimited entry space in any field...names,
relationships, notes, references...everything, including unlimited datasets! It
is designed to prompt you for a full and complete reference on every piece of
information you enter for a subject...as any serious or professional genealogist
should do. Some people find this cumbersome. They have an outstanding
comprehensive book that goes with the program and it also includes a tutorial
program to get you started quickly. Further comprehensive and fast help, is
always available through their website and tech support. I was (still am)
somewhat of a computer novice but would have no other program. My priority as a
genealogist is accurate, detailed record-keeping. Taking a few more minutes to
actually learn the workings of the computer program in order to achieve the
fullest potential is minor compared to the the extensive range of capabilities
to be had in the TMG program. Wholley Genes doesn't try to sell you "fast
answers" on countless record CD's that are truly incomplete. They concentrate
solely on providing you professional software and support to maintain your own
records derived from serious genealogical research.

Bottom line, before investing in a program (and it is an investment), consider
your own goals/requirements as a genealogist and carefully look into all the
details of the programs...not just general opinions or comments on speed or ease
of use. Review the program maker's websites, download their demos of the
programs and try them out, and question their tech support before you buy.
Everyone is different and what one considers best for their needs/desires/money
isn't necessarily best for the next.

Good luck!
