RobertWESTMORELAND (b. 1783. Mecklenburg Co. , VA) married a Miss PENNINGTON
. According to a copy of a Bible page, her name was Mary.( According to the
FTM marriage index, the name was Polly and the marriage took place on Dec.
5, 1804.)

The children were: Martha S.(1809); John W. (1812){my ggggrandfather} ;
Mary P. ( 1814);
Robert (1816); Margeret (1819); DRURY (1820); Frances Rebecah (1829).

I find Robert Westmoreland on the Tax List for Virginia in Mecklenburg as a
single male with no slaves and one horse.

On the 1820 census for Mecklenburg Co. (page 159), I find him with a free
white female between ages 26-45 and 5 children. ( This all fits!)

On the same page of the census, I find a CAPT. DREWRY PENNINGTON.

Could anyone help? Are Mary and Polly the same person? Who is Capt.
Pennington? Is he a brother or father of the wife of Robert Westmoreland?
