Does anyone know if -- going by the following information quoted directly from
the PRA web site -- these two groups are connected further back in the line?

Both originate in Rowan County, NC, which is what prompts me to ask.

GROUP 4

"The following description is in need of an update as it is based on the prior
assumption that Richard was the progenitor of the group, but at the PRA
membership meeting of 1997, it was unanimously agreed to combine this group
with Group 8 (Timothy) and to rename it as Ephraim, b. 1720 NC.

Richard Pennington is first found living in Old Rowan County, North Carolina,
in 1777 where,
according to his son, Daniel, he m. Hannah Boone Stewart, the youngest sister
of the famous
Daniel Boone."

GROUP 7

"Micajah Pennington appears in the court records of Rowan County, North
Carolina, in 1765-1766."

Thanks for any enlightenment.
