Does anyone have any information on the ancestors of William
PENNINGTON as follows:

I received correspondence from Mrs. Elizabeth B. BRIGHT of Texas who
says she has been having quite a problem in “finding the right William
PENNINGTON” (her ancestor). She states she found:

1850 Census, Decatur Co., GA

William PENNINGTON, 34, b. GA (b. 1816)
Ann PENNINGTON, 45, b. SC (b. 1805)
Sarah PENNINGTON, 10, b. GA (b. 1840)
James PENNINGTON, 8, b. GA (b. 1842)
Stephen PENNINGTON, 5, b. GA (b. 1845)

1860 Census, Miller Co., GA, page 521

William PENNINGTON, 43, b. GA (b. 1817)
Susan PENNINGTON, 55, b. GA (b. 1805)
Sarah PENNINGTON, 24, b. GA (b. 1836)
Jim (James) PENNINGTON, 19, b. GA (b. 1841)
Stephen PENNINGTON, 15, b. GA (b. 1845)

Spouse of this William PENNINGTON was Sarah/Susan Ann MALONE. Their
daughter was Sarah Ellen PENNINGTON who m. Irvin TOOL c. 1860-1866.
William was b.c. 1816 and his estate settlement was in Feb 1872, so he
died c. 1871-72.

Mrs. BRIGHT is looking for the parents of this William PENNINGTON and
his spouse, Sarah Ann MALONE. She states that she is in the same line
as Ann Margaret STROUD and they have been corresponding, looking for
ancestors of this family.
