While checking some early issues of Pennington Pedigrees this evening
I ran across a mention of an Abel Pennington died 1740/50 on page 79
of Vol. III, No 1 (1971) Nothing else was printed about this person.
Does anyone know any thing about him? Could he be connected to the
following?
Betty Inman told me Bea Holmes had an item in the circulating library that
preceeded PP's of an Abel in Charleston, SC who died and left two sons.
Both were in the Revolutionary War. One was William and the other John.
John died before he could obtain any pension or money for his service.
Bea tried contacting the person who submitted this information but the lady
died
before Bea could reach her.
Has anyone heard this story before? What happened to the circulating
material?
