My g.g.g.grandfather is Preston Pennington (1802-after 1870), brother of the
Hampton Pennington who was the father of your Minatree. Preston also had a
son Minatree. Preston and Hampton lived very close to each other in Hendricks
Co. IN. What do you know of the origin of the name Minatree? I have always
been hopeful that if I could learn more about that name, I would find clues
for tracing my Penningtons back before they arrived in Indiana. As it is now
they are just part of the jumble of Kentucky Penningtons.
