My great great great grandmother was Elmina Pennington b. 22 June 1829 -
d. 5 Oct. 1893, daughter of Joel Warner Pennington and Elizabeth
Smith. Elmina married Joseph Trotter b. 11 June 1829 - d. 12 Oct 1890.

Their daughter, Eliza (Janie) Jane Trotter, b. 1850 married Samuel
Taylor Gammon b. 1848.

Eliza and Samuel's daughter, my great grandmother, Mary Angeline
Gammon, married Junius Wilson Lane, son of Moses Lane and Sarah Minerva
McMillian.

I suspect there is a slim possibility that Moses father and mother MAY
have been Spencer Lane and Rebecca Pennington Lane (daughter of Joshua
Pennington).

Joshua Pennington and Joel Warner Pennington were both located in Barren
County KY at one time and are possibly related.

Can anyone out there possibly tell me which group or groups these
Penningtons are in. I am new at this and have noticed recently that the
Penningtons are grouped in numbered groups by certain writers to this
site. I would appreciate it if someone reading this could clarify my
ignorance.
