It would appear that Asa Pennington was married to Rachel Lane in Virginia in
1797, and then Sarah Pennington was born in that state in 1798.

According to the dates of the children that i have this is the way they
seemed to have moved.

married in Virginia and they seem to stay there until after 1801. THey they
are in Kentucky in 1805, and lastly in Tennessee sometime afer 1805 and
before 1816.
