There is definitely more than one William Marion Pennington. My
gggrandfather was William Marion Pennington and I have much information on
him. My grandfather lived with him as a child and had many stories to pass
down. My Mother knew him also. I have much documentation. I also have a
few documents that mother wrote a note to attach "not our William Marion
Pennington".

My William Marion Pennington was born in Alabama as the son of Abel Lane
Pennington and Rebecca Ester Norton. He married once there (no children)
and divorced. He then moved to Fannin County, Texas where he married Sarah
Elizabeth Hudgens. They moved on to Mount Olive, Tx (near Goldthwaite).

He (mine) was written up in Mamie Yeary's Reminescences of the Boys in
Gray". This was a personal account of his experiences in the Civil War.

Contact me personally and we will discuss this further.
